| The
Colorado Fever prides itself on being a place were any child can
have fun playing the game of basketball. Unlike some clubs,
the Colorado Fever accepts all players to its organization. We
do have tryouts, however the purpose is to only divide each grade
into the Black, Gold, and Orange teams. The criteria for each
team is listed below: BLACK - The black team will be the team with our most experienced players. A lot is expected from these players and they are placed in the highest level of competition in each league or tournament. GOLD - The gold team are those players with some experience but may need a little extra work on some fundamentals prior to moving to the black team. ORANGE - The orange team is for our beginners. These players are introduced to the game and will be taught the basic fundamentals of basketball. No matter what team your are chosen to play on, this does not mean you will have to be there an entire season. Some player progress faster than others and thus may be moved up during a season. The reverse holds true as well. We expect all of our players to work hard. If a player on the black or gold teams does not exhibit a good work ethic, he or she may be placed to a lower team until their work ethic improves.
