Become A Fever Player

The Colorado Fever prides itself on being a place were any child can have fun playing the game of basketball. Unlike some clubs, the Colorado Fever accepts all players to its organization. We do have tryouts, however the purpose is to only divide each grade into the Black, Gold, and Orange teams. In rare instances does a child not be placed on a team. The instances include too many players and not enough coaches or not enough players to form a team. The criteria for each team is listed below:

BLACK - The black team will be the team with our most experienced players. A lot is expected from these players and they are placed in the highest level of competition in each league or tournament. This team is deemed the traveling squad and will be asked for a higher level of commitment from the player as well as the parent both financially as well as a time commitment.

GOLD - The gold team are those players with some experience but may need a little extra work on some fundamentals prior to moving to the black team. In some cases a gold team may contain black level players that did not have enough of these players to form a team.

ORANGE - The orange team is for our beginners or players needing further fundamental training. These players are introduced to the game and will be taught the basic fundamentals of basketball.

No matter what team you child is chosen to play on, a player still has the ability to move up a level. Some players progress faster than others and thus may be moved up during their present grade year. If you are serious about playing the game of basketball, then we would love to have you.
