COLORADO FEVER ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

The Colorado Fever Athletic Association is presently preparing for its 2010 Spring Basketball Season.  During the spring and summer months, the Colorado Fever becomes more competitive by participating in a number of leagues and tournaments that are designed to better the skills of their players. This spring and summer season will be no exception. 

Elementary and Middle School Teams
This spring, the elementary and middle school teams will be participating in the JAM League.  The JAM League is a competitive basketball league that competes throughout the Denver Metro Area.  More information on the JAM league can be found on their website at www.jamball.com.  In addition to this league, some of the top level teams will also participating in a couple of tournaments as well.  These tournaments will be chosen by each individual coach and will be based on the make up of the team.

High School Teams
The high school teams will participate mainly in college viewing tournaments.  These tournaments allow our high school players to  be viewed by college coaches, which is the main focus of our club.  The exact tournaments that will be participated in will be announced shortly.  The tournaments do require quite a bit of travel and thus a greater expense for the athlete.  However, we feel that the cost will actually become a savings should the players receive a full or partial scholarship.  Each coach may also opt to place the team in a league such as JAM for additional time on the court.

It should be noted that normally the team selected in the spring also competes throughout the summer as well.

4th - 8th Grade Spring Cost
All payments must be made payable to the Colorado Fever Athletic Association.  Spring payments must be paid once players have been selected to a team.  Team selections are usually made within 24 to 48 hours after tryouts are complete.  Payments can be made either by mailing a check to the address below or payment via credit card on our website.  Players will not be confirmed to a team until fees are paid.

IMPORTANT: The $5 tryout fee MUST be paid prior to participating in the tryout.  Players without the tryout fee will not be permitted to tryout and WILL NOT be selected on a team.

Note:  Additional spring tournaments will be depend on the decision of each individual team's coach and may cost an additional $20 to $30 per player per tournament.

Also Note:  Payments can be made at the time of tryout.  No check or cash payments will be deposited prior to a player being selected to a team.  Should a player not be selected, the original payment will be returned.  Payments made via credit card will be refunded to the card.
